Shear reinforcement
Loose shear links around columns in
flat slab construction are awkward to
detail and can also be time-consuming
to fix on site. Both of these problems
can be eliminated through the use of
the BRC Shearail punching shear
reinforcement system, simplifying the
construction process and reducing fixing
times by around 80% compared to
traditional links.
This unique solution features a double-headed shear stud welded to a twin rail system at pre-determined centres, and can be fixed top-down or bottom-up. Our engineers can make use of advanced software design programmes to re-design loose links to the relevant British Standards, producing lay-out patterns and full calculations.
