BRC Centenary book - 1908-2008
BRC has commissioned a specialist publisher of corporate histories to write a book about the company, publication of which is scheduled to coincide with our centenary celebrations in 2008.
Beginning with the company's foundation in 1908, it charts our growth and expansion over the past 100 years. It is set against the major socio-economic and political events that have helped shape us, such as the rise in popularity of the motor car (and consequent expansion in road building), and survival through two world wars (BRC developed and patented square mesh track for airstrips, thousands of rolls of which were stockpiled for use on D-Day).
